who we are

room was founded in 2003 by interior designer susan johnson to provide an outlet for her passion. susan likes chairs. has hundreds of them. she loves well made, well thought out products that adhere to the modernist philosophy of more with less.

susan's designs won numerous awards and she practiced commercial interior design for many years at one of the nation's largest architecture firms. wanting to share her passionate love for modern furnishings, and seeing a need for officially licensed modern design in the omaha area, susan founded room.
